 Uttarakhand Institute of Technical & Professional Education (UITPE), located at Karanpur, Ramnagar is managed by S.N. Memorial Trust.      S.N.Memorial Trust is a registered trust with the aim of providing quality Education at affordable cost to all the desirable students. The trust aims to ensure proper economic development of the society by educating the youth. As a step in this endeavor, the trust has donated books to some of the students of an Inter College based in Ramnagar. In addition to this, the trust has also provided financial aid to certain students of the same college belonging to an economically weaker section.      The trust has found that there are some established Inter/degree colleges in and around Ramnagar but the students have to go elsewhere if they are interested in pursuing technical education. Keeping this in mind, the trust has established a Polytechnic Institute providing diploma in various branches of engineering. At present, the nearest Polytechnic college is at a distance of around 30 kilometers from Ramnagar (Government Polytechnics based in Kashipur and Kaladhungi; a Polytechnic exists in Kotabagh too but its only for girls). This causes inconvenience to the students as they have to travel quite a distance daily or have to incur additional cost on boarding/lodging at the institute. Thus, the establishment of a Polytechnic institute will help the students of the town as well as of the nearby areas to pursue the course in the trait of their interest and hence making them employable. | ||
